Reiki is an energy therapy which has its origins in Japan. Rei-ki or Universal - Energy (Chi) is channelled by the practitioner and received by the subtle aura and energy field of the person receiving the treatment. The patient is either seated or lies fully clothed on the massage couch and a trained practitioner begins to work with the subtle energies of the chakra system with hands slightly above, or softly resting on the patient.  Reiki is intuitive, will go to where it is most needed and begin to clear any blockages within a persons energy field. It is the gradual build up of blocked chi which gives rise to many mental and physical issues. A reiki treatment will assist in clearing the stagnant chi and the patient will feel immense benefit.
